Hocico Collection
This is a tribute dedicated to the Mexican electro band Hocico.
This is NOT a full discography site. I'll only try to list every version of the releases between 1993 and 2003 — and some other which contain tracks from this time — I own with details.

As one of the former webmasters — my nick name back then was Shadow of Death — of Hocico.de, which was online from January 2002 till about March 2014, the band is still one of my favourites even though I don't like their actual music anymore. I'm more fan of "the good old days". But despite that I think it's still great what they are achieving in this music scene.

The project Niñera Degenerada was already founded in 1989 by Racso Agroyam. His cousin Erk Aicrag joined him for the song Enfermedad Siniestra to which he contributed the vocals. This project lasted till 1991.

In 1992 Racso started a new project, called Hocico de Perro, and to work out the concept. The first songs have been produced and recorded in 1993. In the same year they renamed the band to Hocico, and Erk joined as a full member. The Spanish word "hocico" means snout and is a derogatory term that indicates ugliness. A spider with six legs which has an H on its back became the band's logo.

On February 18th, 1994 they played their first live show in Erk's house. After this show they gave away their first demo tape Misuse, Abuse and Accident of which only 30 copies have been made.

From July till October the same year they were working on their second demo tape, called Autoagresión Persistente. It features Claus Bita of Cenobita on the track Change as guitarist.

During 1995 they founded the association Corporación — which is now defunct — with the bands Cenobita, Deus ex Machina, Kristi Artefactum, Oxomaxoma, and SOUCERX to promote electro bands from Mexico City.

In early 1996 they released their third demo tape, Triste Desprecio. Like the previous demo tape it gained a huge success which helped them to sign with the Mexican label Opción Sónica for their debut album Odio Bajo el Alma. In Europe it has been released under exclusive license from Opción Sónica via out of line from Germany and Sub/Mission Records from Italy.

»Hocico is our way of living and thinking. It is the way in which we see the behaviour of the world, and how hope, deception and hate maintain a constant fight inside the human conscience.« Erk and Racso / Hocico

And they're living it for more than 25 years now...

Racso has got a solo-project called Dulce Liquido.
Erk's solo-project is called Rabia Sorda.
